Teacher: Eddie Ivester
 Mr. Ivester has been involved in the Security & Law Enforcement field for over 19 years. He has been a Deputy Sheriff, Florida State
Prison Correctional Officer, Professional Body Guard, Bouncer, Security Officer & Security Consultant as well as having joined the
United States Marine Corp in 1986 to serve his country. He is now a full time Martial Arts & Combatives instructor.
 Mr. Ivester has been teaching for over 23
years and has owned & operated I.C.T. since
1994. Mr. Ivester is a member of the
International Combatives Self-Defense
Association & is the ICSDA Mississippi State
representative and is also a member of the
Combat Silat Union. He was elected as an
assistant coach for the 1989-1992 Junior
Olympics Karate Team in Tampa, FL.

Mr. Ivester in 1974 at 6 years of age saw the
movie Billy Jack, which sparked his interest in
the martial arts. Mr. Ivester began formally
studying Martial Arts in 1976 at the age of 8
with a style called American Karate. Mr.
Ivester has over 31 years of study and
practice in American Fighting Styles & Asian
Fighting Systems.

 Mr. Ivester has found Internal Silat/Kuntao to be far superior to all other types of fighting methods for
self-protection due to his vast study and research into over 35 different types of fighting arts. This conclusion
was formulated through a combination of study & research done by the following methods; school attendances,
private lessons, seminars, videos, books and one-on-one training.

  Mr. Ivester has been in over 100 real self-protection situations involving up to 5 different attackers at the same
time due to his work in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Security, Bouncing, Executive Protection as well as growing
up in some tough neighborhoods. Through his vast experience of real life threatening encounters he has
developed a style of self-protection that's simple, fast, efficient and effective in today’s real world unlike
traditionally taught martial arts that are outdated and can take years to learn and apply.
Mr. Ivester teaches students through group classes, private lessons, seminars & videos. He has taught men,
women & children of all ages, races, religions, job descriptions, athletic ability and body types.
